Yggdrasil

The multi-agent development pipeline behind every Skald product. Built by Rachel Hansen to ship software as a solo founder in the age of AI.

Yggdrasil is an Agentic Development Lifecycle (ADLC) system — a pipeline of eight specialized AI agents, each owning a distinct phase of product development. From product definition through design, architecture, development, and QA, every Skald product is built through the tree.

The agents are named for figures in Norse mythology: Urð holds product requirements, Verðandi owns design, the Stags own architecture, Skuld builds the code, Níðhöggr runs QA. The system is observable, modular, and designed to move fast without losing coherence across a complex multi-product portfolio.

Yggdrasil is not a product for sale. It is the engine Skald runs on — built and maintained by the same person who uses it. If you’ve heard about it on the Wyrd podcast, that’s where more of the story lives.
